Tutoring

We can meet with our student's at the Dyslexia Center, our student's school(if we have permission from the school)or online.  We require meeting for tutoring three times per week to be successful.  The session runs about 55 minutes and the fee is $40 per lesson.

Academic Language Therapist Training Program

Take Flight: A Comprehensive Evidence Based Intervention for Students with Dyslexia

 

McKinneyChristian Academy's Mulitsensory Teacher Training(MCA-MTT) instructors offer teachers, parents and administrators an opportunity to train in multi-sensory teaching.  This type of teaching best supports students with dyslexia and related language based learning differences.

 

Trainees will learn to implement an Orton-Gillingham based multi-sensory language therapy program called Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with Dyslexia.   The curriculum written by the staff of the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.


Our training includes 120 hours of instruction and continued support and mentorship throughout your training cycle.  We supply materials to work with one student or one small group.
