Learn how to work with struggling readers to help them become better readers and writers

Springfield Center for Dyslexia and Learning offers a comprehensive two year therapist program using Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with Dyslexia, a curriculum written by the staff of

Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.

Take Flight addresses the five components of effective reading instruction identified by the National Reading Panel's Research.

The fall night and weekend course is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday evenings (4:30-8:30pm) and Saturdays (8:30am-4:30pm) from September 18th through October 17th, plus Thursday workshops from 12:30 - 8:30pm on November 14th, January 16th, February 13, March 26th, and April 16th.
